Human Cooperation: the new frontier in human resources management.

In the framework of Personnel Management, the Cooperative Gruppo La Meridiana is closely and actively following any economic and social development about Human Resources. The year 2016 has brought with it a new challenge for the labour market: the Human Cooperation. The primary objective is always the achievement of an increased organisational business prosperity, trying to break it through a system of cooperation in which women and young people have a significant value.

What is the Human Cooperation?

Human Cooperation wants to be a new corporate culture. A culture mainly based on dialogue and involvement especially of Millennials and women. The general conviction is that women and young people can take companies to a renovation, by facilitating them to move out of the crisis.

This initiative arose from the first Italian association of large companies created to support female business leadership, with the participation of Aggiornamenti Sociali. The chief purpose of this initiative is to raise awareness among companies to a reconsideration of the role of the Staff. With the Human Cooperation, they wish to emphasise the importance and value of the dialogue between gender and intergenerational.  Another important objective of this initiative is the removal of barriers that still hinder women’s employment. The business model of the future is designed as a copy of the German model. In Germany, in fact, a law that compels companies to recruit women, in a specific percentage, has been adopted. It is, therefore, a commitment proposal in order to promote a new inclusive leadership model, which enhances the value of everyone, a new organisational culture that encourages intergenerational dialogue, and a new participatory welfare system.

A recent study about Italian business showed that companies coordinated by women, or in which women are more than men, have a more autonomous attitude. At the same time, companies, which offer scope for youth work, have received much more benefits in optimisation of the services. These results mean that women and young people follow, in a natural way, trends of the world of work and they are able to manage their roles.

Why is Human Cooperation so important?

In Human Cooperation, the term cooperation means: a behaviour through which an individual provides a benefit for another man, which in turn represents a benefit for the first man himself. This kind of cooperation is not obvious as it looks. In nature, the human being is the only living thing that works for altruistic cooperation. Human social training has got properties which should be used also for sustainable economic growth. The key to interpreting this issue is that human evolution is to understand the importance of cooperation. It is obvious that this understanding is important a priori and not just in the world of work. To understand the benefits of cooperation encourages and stimulates the changes that may modify the lives of the entire human race, just as in the past. What is needed to be understood is, especially, that today is the right time of evolution and we can get there thanks to cooperation.
