Italy focuses on green economy
Sustainable economy is one of the most suitable solution to face the crisis. This is what emerges from the last edition of the General Assembly of the green economy, which was organized during Ecomondo, the International Trade Fair of Material & Energy Recovery and Sustainable Development, held in Rimini from 5th to 8th November 2014.
Some data
In Italy in these years of crisis the only sector that is growing is only one: the green economy, in terms of business volume and new employment. These are the results of GreenItaly 2014, the annual report of Unioncamere and Symbola Foundation which shows every year our national excellence in the green economy field.
Which sectors are more green?
Green economy is a tendency that embraces all sectors of Italian economy – from food to construction, from manufacturing to chemical, from energy to waste disposal – and that rises sharply in manufacturing, a sector in which nearly one out of three enterprise focuses on green economy. A successful choice: 25.8% of the companies manufacturing eco-investing has increased its sales in 2013, while among the non-investing success is only 17.5% of cases.
Keywords
Then why bet and invest into green economy? These are the main reasons:

- Corporate responsibility
- More jobs
- Increase in profitability
Green economy can therefore be defined as a vision of the future which must begin, however, in the present. An opportunity not to be missed.
